The concept of a pyramid is that the person at the top makes all the money. They recruit people to recruit more people who recruit more people. There's no concern for those that will eventually get burned at the bottom. In a pyramid or ponzi scheme, there are no real products, no real consumers and no future. Some pyramid companies have you stockpiling inventory month after month. Pyramids are rightfullty illegal in America and most countries.

Most distributors are product lovers. We believe that Herbalife has the best science and the best manufacturing of any nutritional products in the world today. Our passion about our products(which we only got from using them and feeling the results we got) is what drives our 30 plus year success.
Herbalife states, in it's 10 customer rule, to receive any royalty income or residual income you must maintain at least 10 customers per month. Customers are people that consume Herbalife products through you. If you cannot prove that you have retail customers, Herbalife will not compensate you.
Also, in a pyramid the money is passed up by those who were recruited. In Herbalife, you never exchange money with people on your team. Herbalife pays us directly based on the level of production our team has. So, it's in our best interest to make sure that our distributors are well trained and are making sizable profits. We take a sincere interest in our customers getting results and then in our distributors helping other people to get results. It's the most fair and ethical form of income there is. We get paid for adding value to other people through their health with the Herbalife products and their wealth with the best compensation package in the industry. Understanding a "legal pyramid".
My friend was a police officer in a major city. In his opinion, he worked for a "legal pyramid", the Police department. There were hundreds of policemen, a couple dozen sergeants, a couple Lieutenants and only 1 Chief of police. Almost every officer wanted the position and wages that the Chief of Police earned. But, only one could ever have it. The Chief always made the most money. That's a legal pyramid, when you can't reach the top.
